Course Description

WINTER/SPRING SEASON 2025 7-12 y/o | Tuesdays 15:00-16:15 (75 min) Join Art Lab Amsterdam's New Winter Session: Developing Confidence, Empathy, and Wonder! Discover the joy of art through our engaging curriculum, focusing on depicting the human form, exploring light and shadow 3D techniques, and understanding perspective. Children will enhance their skills in drawing, painting, and collage, inspired by contemporary and historical artists whose works are displayed in local museums. Our Three Pillars: 1. Building Confidence: We nurture self-expression and boost confidence with meditation techniques, helping children articulate their feelings and reflect on personal experiences. Each child receives a A3 sketchbook for their artistic journey. 2. Fostering Empathy: Through collaborative art games and positive reflections on each other's work, we cultivate bonds among the children. Our curriculum celebrates cultural diversity, encouraging an appreciation of art from around the world. 3. Embracing Nature: Children connect to the wonders of nature by depicting their favourite animals and natural phenomena like storms. Our relaxing educational environment with inspiring music, enhances their creativity. At mid-term, we review all learned techniques, and parents are invited to join the final class to create art together. At the conclusion, each child will also receive a creative gift to celebrate their progress. Enroll your child in Art Lab Amsterdam and watch them grow through the power of art!
